Waiting for the Train

Waiting in the terminal, mentally preparing for a long train ride, I’m reminded that I’m not the only tourist in town.
Travelling on the cheap doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy life. Cake for lunch, to go, for example. I couldn’t have done it better myself.
This family definitely found the “Yunnan Ethnicities” gift shop, loaded with “authentic” souvenirs to bring back to their friends in, well, I don’t know, wherever they’re going back to. To those big city folks on the East coast, in Beijing, Shanghai, etc., the Yunnan Province is still considered some sort of “wild west.”
