Happy New Year Meinhovers! It is about time I get to checking my email. Thanks for the card in the mail also. It was easier to read it on line since my eyes are a bit lacking. I marvel at the accomplishments of Ted and Katharine and of your wonderful Grass Roots. I pray for peace and hope for 2010. We do need hope because I don’t want those people who say only “No” to win. andy…….I remember the chinese in Tengailan Sabah in 67 (when I was there in Peace Corp) talking about the killing of their familis in Indonesia…..they (in Sabah) saw the killings of the Chinese as racial and told me graphic stories of piles of bodies floating down rivers…they were sad.

I am glad you pointed out that coops are for more than the East Timors and REA’s of the work.
Coops are neighborhood solutions to neighborhood problems. Maybe this is an idea that is coming around again.
